Conditions of Hire

Commencement of Hire
All hires commence between 1 and 2pm on the first day and terminate at 10am sharp on the last day. Early arrivals may board if your boat is ready. Late returns will incur a penalty against bond. To avoid delays in boarding, late arrivals must phone office to arrange departure.

Deposit
A Booking deposit of $200 is payable within seven days of making reservation to confirm booking and full payment is required four weeks prior to departure.

Bond
A Bond of $300 is required upon arrival refunded by post less fuel used and $25 effluent removal fee if boat is returned in good order and clean condition at end of hire. Any damage will be charged at cost of repair.

If you have to Cancel
Cancellation of any booking must be made at least 60 days prior to date of hire to be eligible for deposit refund. A cancellation fee of $50 will be charged. The $50 will be deducted from the rental if you rebook within 12 months. For late cancellations refund will depend on houseboat being re-let for the same period.

Drivers
Drivers of the houseboats must be 18 years of age or over and must hold a current vehicle drivers licence (no special boat licence is required). Do not drink and drive the houseboats. MSB Officers patrol and penalties
